Johann Sebastian Bach was a magnificent baroque-era composer and one of the greatest Western composers of all time. He is still revered for his work's complexities and stylistic innovations. Bach often wrote the initials I.N.J. in his writing. This stood for "In Nomine Jesu." In this piece, I have tried to capture where he drew his inspiration.

Beethoven’s most admired works come from the last 15 years of his life, when he was almost completely deaf. The fact that he could hear entire symphonies with just his inner ear, shows he had access to a place far beyond our earthly dimensions. In this portrait, I sought to capture that vastness of his inspiration and the genius of his spirit.

We can all feel overwhelmed in our lives. This painting is a prompting toward a new perspective. Our entire planet is but an insignificant speck of dust inside our galaxy held in the blessing mudra of the buddha. It's inviting the viewer to look for the calm in the storm of creation.
